🦷 Teeth Whitening
Whitening is a safe and effective way to brighten stained, discolored or dull teeth. Whitening is especially effective for yellow or orange spotting on teeth caused by aging, smoking, or foods such as coffee, wine, and tea. Gray or brown stains caused by the use of certain medications or fluorosis (excessive intake of fluoridated water) can also be whitened.
Most whitening procedures utilize peroxides that generally brighten your smile by 5-7 shades. Whitening works for most people, but not everyone is a good candidate. Serious discoloration, for example, are best corrected by veneers than whitening. Crowns, bridges and fillings also do not whiten and require alternate procedures. If you’re interested in brightening your smile, have your teeth evaluated by Dr. Emma and her team in the Pacific Palisades first.
